Abstract. The Khanty language has a rich derivational system. Suffixal word-formation is the main mean of verbs formation. Plenty of verb suffixes and their associative ability sometimes transmit subtle shades of verbs’ meanings. We considered means of expression of inceptiveness of verbal action, derivational value of one-actness of the action in the Khanty language on the material of the Kazym dialect. In this article we will consider features of derivational suffix of momentariness =εmə=. In the Kazym dialect of the Khanty language the suffix =εmə= is one of the productive suffixes, it is involved both in inter-categorical and inner-categorical word formation. It can be combined with the causative suffixes=t=, =əλt=, with reflexive suffixes =əś=, =εs=, =əs=. In the whole, derivating bases have the semantics of non-momentary action; derivative basis, depending on the lexical meaning of the verb, have the semantics of momentary, single, frequentative, inceptive and attenuated (one case) actions. Also there is a group of verbs which can combine with only with this suffix. The relevance of this study is in the fact, that features of derivational suffix =εmə= have not been considered in the Khanty language. This article allows to identify the derivational features of the suffix.
Key words: Khanty language, Kazym dialect, inner-categorical word formation, momentariness, suffix =εmə=.
