Poetic image of Petrozavodsk at the intersection of cultures and traditions: historical and literary continuity and artistic topics (based on the works of the XX–XXI centuries)

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the problem of “local text” (as well as “urban text”) is one of the most relevant for modern theoretical literary studies and cultural anthropology. The space of the city is subjected to a diverse examination as a set of meanings reproduced in a work of art or
circulating orally in the urban environment. In this regard, insufficient attention has been paid to the “Petrozavodsk text”, although the tradition of studying the “Karelian text” has already been formed.
Objective: to develop a description scheme for the “Petrozavodsk text” adapted to the needs of a specific local artistic tradition, taking into account the historical, cultural, and geographical specifics of the region.
Research materials: poetic works about Petrozavodsk of the XX–XXI centuries.
Results and novelty of the research: the main parameters of the analysis of the “Petrozavodsk text” are proposed: 1) nature, 2) man-made objects, geometry of space, 3) time, 4) feeling, 5) human city. Most of the poetic works have been researched for the first time. Many of them were found in rare, inaccessible, low-circulation regional publications, which required separate searches. The “Petrozavodsk text” is considered from the point of view of the historical continuity of artistic images and motifs: from the first experiences of the end of the XVIII century to the XX–XXI centuries, with an emphasis on the last century. Considerable attention is paid to the emotional sphere of the “Petrozavodsk text”. Russian and Baltic-Finnish poetic cultures have for the first time identified points of convergence and divergence in this material: previously, this aspect was not specifically covered. It is proved that the “Petrozavodsk text” is in many ways a part of the “Karelian text”, although there is no complete coincidence. In the future, it is necessary to expand the source base to include prose works.
