Abstract. The article discusses the conditions of appearance a large-scale of epic creations in national literatures of Finno-Ugric people. The author analyzes the social and political conditions of appearance national epic poems «Kalevala» and «Kalevipoeg» in the Finnish and Estonian literature. The literature monuments are «Mastorava» and «Virantanas» were created of Erzya Moksha and Vep of literatures. These works are half of author’s, as well as on folklore material based and the same vision of the world of the separate person revealed - the author-narrator and the different chronology events are dated.
