Recommendations for the articles
The Editorial Board accepts articles in electronic form by e-mail address Vestnikugr@yandex.ru in MS Word format or a hard copy of the article signed by the author (authors).
Submission of Manuscripts
* Recommended extent of the manuscript is not less than 0.5 printed sheets (20 thousand printed characters) and no more than 1.0 printed sheet (40 thousand printed characters)
* All margins are 2 cm.
* The main text of article is typed in MC Word
* Main text font is Times New Roman
* Point size is 14; line spacing – 1.5 (one and a half)
* Do not use accentuations (italics, underline, etc.) with the purpose of uniformity of style
* Indention is 1 cm.
* If you need to insert any complicated formulas then it is best to use Microsoft Equation 3.0 included in Microsoft Word
* Center formulas in column without indentation, use parenthesis for their serial numbers and place them in the column (on the page) using right page alignment. Single formula is not numbered. No extra space is put between formulas and text.
* References to formulas in the body of the text should be placed in parentheses (1), references to literary sources should be placed in square brackets [1].
* Bibliographic list (12 point size) should be placed at the end of a manuscript strictly in alphabetical order after «List of sources and literature».
* Link to the bibliographic source consists of two digits in square brackets, the first of which is the order number in the bibliographic list of the article; the second one is the page number in the source. The digits are separated with a comma, e. g. [1, 48].
* The captions (point size – 12, regular style) are given under illustrations in the center after the word "Fig." with the order number; over the table right aligned after the word "Table" with the order number. The only figure or the table should not be numbered.
* For texts in Finno-Ugric languages the font PTSerif should be used.
The article should consist:
1. The UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) code (which should be assigned by author)

2. DOI (will be assigned by the Editorial Board)
3. Title of the article should concisely (the maximum length of the title is 10–12 words) and accurately reflect content of the article, its thematic and results of scientific research. It should contain informativity, attractiveness, uniqueness of the scientific work of the author. The title is centered in bold both in Russian and English languages. When submitting the title of the article in English it is unacceptable to use the transliteration from Russian into Latin. Abbreviations and formulas cannot be used
4. Information about the authors contains the full name and affiliation of the authors (place of main work of the authors). City, state, e-mail must be specified in Russian and English languages. The order in which the authors are mentioned depends on their contribution to the work. The affiliation indicates the place of work of the authors or the name of the organization that carried out the study. The name of the organization (Russian/English) should coincide with the name specified in its statute.
5. Abstract. The content of the abstract should allow the reader to understand the essence of the research. It should allow the reader to determine whether to refer to the full text of the article for more detailed information. The title of the article should not be duplicated in the text of the abstract. It should clearly indicate the following components: introduction, objective, research materials, results and novelty of the research. Recommended extent of the abstract is 150–250 words. It should be compiled in Russian and English. Structure of the abstract:
- Introduction;
- Objective;
- Research materials;
- Results and novelty of the research.
The abstract in English must be original, that is the literal translation is invalid.
- Key words serve as a guide for the reader and are used to search for articles in electronic databases, so they must reflect the discipline (the field of science in which the article is written), topic, purpose and object of the research. Recommended number of key words is 5–10. They should be indicated in Russian and English.
- Acknowledgements. In this section you should mention the people who helped the author to prepare this article, organizations which have provided financial support. Good manner is the expression of gratitude to the anonymous reviewers. The acknowledgements are to be provided in Russian and English. This section is not mandatory for all articles.
- For citation. The section contains the output of the article. It should be compiled in Russian and English.
- The text of the article should follow the structure. It is advisable to adhere to the IMRAD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion).
Introduction includes general research topic, objectives and goals of the planned work, theoretical and practical significance. The author indicates the most famous and authoritative publications on the topic and identifies unresolved problems. This section of the manuscript becomes an independent text.
Materials and Methods. This section describes the process of the experiment, using techniques and equipment; provides detailed information about the target of research; indicates the sequence of research and justifies the choice of methods used (observation, survey, test, experiment, laboratory experience, analysis, modeling, learning and generalization, etc).
Results. In this section should be presented systematic analytical and statistical material. The research results should be described adequately, so that the reader can trace the process and assess the validity of the conclusions made by the author. This is the main section, which aims to prove a working hypothesis (or hypotheses) by analysis, synthesis and data clarification. If necessary, the results can be supported by illustrations (tables, graphs, drawings), presenting starting material or evidence minimized. It is important to illustrate without duplication of information already contained in the text. It is desirable to compare the results presented in the article with results in previous works of the author and other research works in this area. This comparison may reveal further novelty of the work and give it objectivity.
Results of the research should be presented briefly, but they should contain enough information to assess the findings. Justification must be provided as to why these data were selected.
Discussion and Conclusion(s). The conclusion must contain a brief summary of research results. The main points of the work must be repeated. It is better to present any repetition of the material with new formulations. It is necessary to compare the results with the target, indicated at the beginning of the article. In conclusion, the results are to be summarized from a theoretical and practical point of view; the main directions for further research are indicated in this area. It would be desirable to include the development prospect of the issues in the final part of the article.
10. References include only the sources used and referred to in the article. They should be arranged in accordance with the standard used in the journal. It is recommended to use no more than 30 sources (at least 5 recent sources – the last three years; not less 5 sources in foreign languages). Self-citations in References should not exceed 10%. It is important to refer to the source correctly. It is necessary to indicate the surnames and initials of the authors, journal (e-mail address), year of publication, volume (issue), number, pages, DOI or Internet access address. Interested reader should be able to find the specified literary source in the shortest possible time. The original publication language must be indicated in parentheses.
- For books: the place of publication, name of the publisher, year of publication and the total number of pages should be indicated;
· For articles: the title of the journal, year of publication, volume, issue (or number), pages of the beginning and the end of the article, DOI (digital identifier of the article) if available;
· The reference to electronic sources should include information about the site, the access mode and the date of the last visit.
· Unpublished sources: documents, archives, manuscripts should be indicated in footnotes at the bottom of the page.
· Field materials: when referring to personal field materials of the author a particular expedition is listed separately; all informants, card files or other units specify in the parentheses. If under the terms of the research it is required to keep the anonymity, the names of informants may be reduced to initials or omitted in accordance with the specific requirements imposed on the author within the project.
For example:
FMA 1 [Name of the material, date (informants: their full or reduced names, year of birth). In text of the article references are given, for example, in the following way: [FMA 1: Ivanov].
References are combinations of transliterated and English-language parts of the Russian-language links. The title of the publication in the references should be transliterated (written in Latin letters) and dubbed into English in the parentheses [...]. For transliteration you need to use the link: https://www.translit.ru (with variant BGN). You must specify in parentheses the original language of the article on which the full text of the publication is written.
For example: (In Russian), (in Arabic), (In Persian), (In Italian), etc.
- Full information about the author: full name, organization(s), address of the organization(s) (it is necessary to specify all the author's places of work in which the author carried out the researches (main place of work, place of the project implementation, etc.), current position, academic rank, academic degree, ORCID ID, Researcher ID, e-mail address, phone number, postal address with index (in English language without abbreviations!)
The author must specify the official English name of his/her institution. A list of the names of the institutions and their English versions can be found on the website of the RUSEL: https://elibrary.ru
When forming the list of authors the author should follow the ethical standards of co-authorship developed by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics): httpss://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct
When a transliteration of the full names the author should adhere to a uniform of writing in all articles.
It should be compiled in Russian and English.
- Appendixes. The article can be applied not more than 3 illustrations. Any illustrations (except for own photos of the author) attached to the articles must be accompanied by official written permission of their owner or the current copyright holder:
• If illustrations belong to another person, you can use as a sample the form for permission to publish illustrations from a private person posted on the journal website in the section "For authors".
• If you use illustrations copied from the originals stored in archives or museums, you need to obtain the permission for publication from the appropriate archive or museum.
• If you use photos of the illustration copied from an already published book, journal or other print or online edition you must obtain the permission for its publication:
- from the author or current copyright holder;
- from the appropriate print edition.
In all other cases it is your responsibility to find out who the author or current holder of the copyright on the illustration and to obtain written permission for its publication.
Illustrations must be of good quality and can be presented both in the form of printed reproductions (photocopies not accepted) and in the form of graphic files (TIFF format requires; the files in JPEG format are accepted only in exceptional cases). If you scan the material you should set the resolution at least 300 dpi for normal images (horizontal format), the graphic file should be at least 1200 pixels in width.
Diagrams and graphs are made in the built-in MS Word or MS Excel. They should be placed in the text of the article and in addition they should be sent in a separate file.
The article is accompanied by a separate text file with the complete list of picture captions. The sequence numbers of illustrations should correspond to the numbers in the names of graphic files. If you have received the permission for publication from archives, museums or another organizations, then in this permission it is usually stipulates what information from the copyright holder must be included in the captions.
Captions should not be parts of a figure or a graph.
Illustrations inserted in MS Word are not originals and they should be submitted as separate files.
Unidentified illustrations which are not accompanied by the permissions will not be accepted for publication.
All abbreviations should be decrypted at first use. If your article has a lot of abbreviations, you should make a list with decryption.
There is no point after: columns, the title of the article, the author of the article, headings and sub-headings, key words, names of tables, figures.
