Hidden images of the Russian space: the way from hero to priest

Abstract. The article analyzes the cultural aspects of the images formation of the Old Russian town and space. For the East-European Plain the chronological change of images was typical. The birth of Russian civilization led to the gradual ousting of marginals. The awareness of domestic space in its historical evolution is revealed in the images of hero, executioner and priest.
