Abstract.This article discusses the traditional calendar and Orthodox holidays Mordovians-Moksha on the example of the village Adasheva Kadoshkino district of the Republic of Mordovia. As you know, before the adoption of Christianity Mordvinians were pagans. This article investigated in details the specifi city of traditions in celebration of the winter, spring and summer holiday. Special attention is devoted to the Orthodox celebration of the patronal feasts, which are important for the residents of this village. Nowadays the calendar holiday “Maslenica” retains much of the echoes of paganism.
