Finnish theme in memoir and artistic prose of Ivan Savin

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article deals with the Finnish theme in the in memoir and artistic prose of Ivan Savin, the representative of the Finnish branch of Russian literary emigration of the first wave.
Objective: to consider the creativity of Ivan Savin in the aspect of the image of the Finnish theme in comparison with the memoirs of poets of the acmeistic circle (O. Mandelstam).
Research materials: the memories and stories by Ivan Savin thematically related to the image of Finland, demonstrating the author’s vision of the “new homeland” of the emigrant.
Results and novelty of the research: the main factors of the formation of the Finnish theme of the poet were identified, namely: the phenomenon of Finnish emigration taking into account the complex historical relations of the two countries; the experience of interpretation of the Finnish theme among the largest representatives of acmeism, in particular, O. Mandelstam; picture of the world of Savin himself, which was formed under the influence of both cultural and biographical factors. These aspects have not yet been the subjects of special scientific study.
