History of the Khanty-Mansiysk National Pedagogical College: experience of source comprehension

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the narrative based on the facts selected by the positivist criticism is being replaced by a «new» analytical historical science. It does not reject the source due to the discovery in it of distortions of «historical truth». The source is considered as a product of a certain culture, society, epoch. The subject of the research is the article of the director of the Khanty-Mansiysk National Pedagogical College G. T. Velichko about the history of this educational institution, written in connection with the 40th anniversary of the October.
Objective: to determine the compositional and linguistic features, the characteristic features of this work and the historical and pedagogical discourse of the late 1950s in general. It makes it possible to understand how the general trends of development of national secondary pedagogical education were reproduced/interpreted as well as it possible to see the general and special, to get an idea about the organizers and leaders of this educational sphere.
Research materials: first of all, the text of the article by G. T. Velichko, as well as other publications about the elementary school and secondary pedagogical education in Khanty-Mansiysk National Okrug in the 30s–50s.
Results and novelty of the research: the study showed that the texts are «loaded», their «cleaning» can have devastating consequences. An attempt to «clean» the text of G. T. Velichko’s article from author’s subjectivism, elements of an officio-lect inevitably leads to the destruction of the entire story about history of the Khanty- Mansiysk National Pedagogical College in terms of composition and language. As a result of the pursuit of knowledge about «how it really was», we get a retelling of the source with the removed «untrue» places, often following the order of presentation of the material of the text we just depreciated.
The scientific novelty of the research lies in a new approach to the source. The authors do not limit themselves by traditional criticism. They show it as a multidimensional phenomenon of culture, society, epoch through the analysis of language/languages of the source, including its content, composition («syntax»), vocabulary, as well as they raise the question of personal motifs in the publio-lectical text. It allows us to see the representation of national and educational policy in Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug, to see in a new way the problems of the Khanty- Mansiysk Pedagogical College as a problem of cultural and anthropological properties.
