Concept as the category in Ob-Ugric and Russian literature

ABSTRACT Introduction. The article considers the approaches to the interpretation of the art concept in the works of ObUgric and Russian literature. This is due to the fact that the relationship between concept and symbol, concept and image in literary studies remain not fully developed, but at the same time they are the most important in it. They allow considering in the unity the artistic world of a writer and world of values of a reader. Objective: to disclose the structural and semiotic category of the concept, use of which opens new possibilities in the study of organization of the literary text of both Ob-Ugric and Russian literature. Research materials: the works of Ob-Ugric literature of the XX and XXI centuries presented in comparison with the literary texts of Russian literature. The bases for such analytical comparison are the research of domestic and foreign scientists on the problems of interpretation of the concept. Results and novelty of the research. The result of the article is the disclosure of the essence of category of the concept, its polysemy in the literary text. The work states that category of the concept is a carrier of idiostyle of a writer, his artistic, poetic picture of the world, despite the fact that different cultural and linguistic sources and traditions form the interpretation of notions in their transformation into concepts of a literary text. One of the aspects of scientific novelty is connected with the inclusion of materials of Ob-Ugric literature for theoretical substantiation of the essence and existence of the concept in literary texts. The article attempts to prove that the existence of the concept in a literary text allows it to be a meaningful unit of memory and a unit of new content.
