Functional and semantic characteristic of the indefinite pronoun mŏλti in the Khanty language

ABSTRACT
Introduction: indefinite pronouns like all pronouns receive specific meanings in conditions of a coherent speech and serve as a means of actualiziation of communication. Functional and-semantic features of the indefinite pronouns of the Khanty language were not the subject of special research. Every indefinite pronoun has its own functional and semantic potential. Full analysis of typical cases of use can give the most complete description of the indefinite pronouns of the Khanty language. For the first time, the article discusses in detail the features of the functioning of the indefinite pronoun mŏλti in the Kazym dialect of the Khanty language.
Objective: identification and description of functional and-semantic features of the indefinite pronoun mŏλti.
Research materials: the sentences of the Kazym dialect with the indefinite pronoun mŏλti. Results and novelty of the research: the article specifies and systematizes the meanings of the indefinite pronoun mŏλti ‘something, some, one’. The change in the meaning occurs due to its compatibility with names
belonging to different parts of speech; the meaning of the pronoun depends on the purpose of the speaker’s statement, on the nature of the expressed attitude to reality.
