ABSTRACT
Introduction: the relevance of the theme, first of all, is determined by the phenomenon of discourse – the power in the era of “forced construction of socialism in the USSR” that transformed the North, as well as by the question of the role of Khanty texts and their authors in this discourse.
Objective: to determine the role of the Khanty language in the discourse in the formation of a new social reality of the North.
Research materials: Khanty texts of the newspaper «Khanty-Mansi Shop (Shoy). Ostyako-Vogulsk Pravda» – «Stalin’s Tribune», orders of the newspaper’s Editorial Board.
Results and novelty of the research: the formation of the Khanty language as the newly scripted, its role in the construction of a new socio-cultural reality of the North is shown. The novelty of the research lies in the characterization of the public consciousness of the new ethno-elite through the analysis of newspaper texts. The characteristics of the «official Khanty language» and the worldview of Khanty and Mansi activists can be used in the preparation of the relevant sections of the academic book «History of Yugra», and the observations and conclusions of the authors in general can be used in the study of the history of ethno-journalism.
Key words: newly scripted Khanty language, representational capabilities, space of the Soviet Northern discourse, genre and thematic groups of texts, borrowings.
Acknowledgments: the research was carried out with the financial support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research within the framework of the scientific project No. 21-512-23006\21.
