ABSTRACT
Introduction: in the aspect of the methodology of the study of spiritual culture, the article analyzes the concepts representing the concept of informational causality and explaining the peculiarities of the worldview in archaic communities. Their relevance to the ideas of modern keepers of the traditions of the Ob Ugrians is shown.
Objective: identification of the heuristic potential of the concepts of “relict worldview”, the “volumetric model of evolution” by I. A. Beskova and the information conception by D. I. Dubrovsky.
Research materials: the works of philosophers and psychologists on the problems of the anthropology of consciousness, the works of ethnologists devoted to the spiritual sphere of traditional culture.
Results and novelty of the research: in the literature, the spiritual traditions of the Ob Ugrians are described rather than investigated. Science has long “avoided” such phenomena as an “transformed” state of consciousness, healing practices, mystical and transpersonal experiences, reincarnation, etc. Development of psychology, cognitive research, and philosophical understanding of their new results have led to the formation of scientific paradigms aimed at studying the phenomenon of the spiritual. The subject of D. I. Dubrovsky’s research is self-organizing systems, for understanding the interaction of elements of which, along with the concept of a physical cause, the concept of an informational / mental cause is introduced. In relation to a system such as a local traditional society, this provision serves as a rational justification for the significance (causality) of the mental in the life
of both its individual members and the community as a whole. I. A. Beskova, identifying elements of the archaic psychic and generalizing them in the concept of a relict worldview, comes to the concept of voluminous human evolution, which contains not only layers and aspects known by science for a long time, but also those that represent various manifestations of collective psychology inherent in traditional society, which is still poorly studied. The scientific novelty of the article is determined by the fact that the analysis of the concepts of D. I. Dubrovsky and I. A. Beskova is projected for the first time onto the spiritual world of the Ob Ugrians.
