ABSTRACT
Introduction: verbal phrases are the most common type of phrases in the Moksha language. In phrases of this kind, a verb acts as a dominant word, a dependent component can be expressed by different parts of speech. In our work, we focused on verbal phrases with a dependent noun, tried to identify the most complete paradigm of grammatical forms of dominant and dependent components and present their models.
Objective: definition and description of models of verb phrases with a dependent noun in the Moksha language.
Research materials: literary texts of Moksha writers, Moksha-Russian dictionary “Mokshen=ruzon valks”.
Results and novelty of the research: as a result of the research, structural models of verb phrases with a dependent noun in the Moksha language are defined and described according to the formal-grammatical indicator of dominant and dependent components. In verb phrases, a dominant component can be presented in all eight moods, taking the corresponding formants of the objectless and objective conjugations. Between dominant and dependent components, the grammatical means of communication are case forms of nouns, numbers, indicators of definiteness and possessiveness. A dependent component of verb phrases – a noun – can take formants of a dominant, demonstrative and possessive declensions, forming certain paradigms within the general model (V → N). We distinguish 42 main models, the most common of which are: models with a dependent direct object in the form of the nominative, genitive of the main declension; models with a dependent indirect object in the form of the dative, ablative, inessive, elative of the main declension. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the fact that the models of verb phrases with a dependent noun in the Moksha language become the subject of research for the first time.
