ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the poetics of Mordovian women’s lyrics. The subject of the study is the specificity of representation of the archetypal image of the mother in the works of women authors.
Objective: to identify the functional and semantic structure and variants of the image of the mother in the poems of modern poets.
Research materials: works by R. Orlova, L. Ryabova, M. Slugina.
Results and novelty of the research: as a result of the study, we come to the conclusion that in the lyrics of national women poets the archetypal image of the mother appears as a complex structure. It functions in different hypostases – mother Earth, mother nature, mother motherland, mother woman, Mother of God. By means of it the generalized conceptual component of poetic thought is implied (universal human value concepts are transmitted, the peculiarities of ethnic worldview, mental traits of Erzya and Moksha are reflected, the constants of national culture and spiritual and moral
foundations of society are revealed), as well as the emotional and psychological situation is modeled, the heroine’s intentions are conveyed. The specificity of interpretation of the archetypal image of the mother is conditioned by the associativity of the lyrical consciousness of the woman author, her mental traits, peculiarities of reflection of the world and personality. In the analyzed works there is a conceptual and artistic complication of the universal image, which is manifested in its symbolic coding, enrichment with ethno-cultural meaning, religious and mythological intents, and addition of aesthetic means of its representation. The scientific novelty of the article is determined by the fact that the archetypal image of mother and its semantic varieties in Mordovian women’s lyrics for the first time become the object of scientific reflection.
