Category of possessiveness and its expression in the Moksha dialect area

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the study of dialectal features of the Mordovian languages is determined by the need to present the dialectal originality of the Moksha and Erzya languages in connection with the disappearance of a number of dialects. The article examines the features of expressing singular and plural forms of possessive nouns in the dialects of the Moksha language both on the territory of the Republic of Mordovia and beyond; the features of functioning and isoglosses of the distribution of plural forms of the possessive declension in the Moksha dialect area.
Objective: to identify dialectal features, analyze and describe the patterns that led to specific ways of expression of possessive word forms in the subdialects and dialects of the Moksha language.
Research materials: dialectal materials of the author, collected in the territory of the Republic of Mordovia and beyond.
Results and novelty of the research: as a result of this study, a classification of possessive forms is presented taking into account the differentiation of the possessive affixes of the possessor and the possessed, characteristic features of the functioning and isoglosses of the distribution of possessive word forms in the Moksha dialect area are revealed. Scientific novelty lies in the systematization of the numerical differentiation of the series of possessive declension, which are based on the distinction between the possessed and the possessor in the Moksha dialect area.
