ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the problem of the penetration of mythological consciousness into Mordovian women’s literature. The subject of this research is the specificity of the representation of the archaic worldview in the lyrics of R. Orlova.
Objective: to identify the features of the author’s interpretation and individual creative embodiment of elements of mythological consciousness in R. Orlova’s lyrics.
Research materials: poems by R. Orlova.
Results and novelty of the research: in R. Orlova’s lyrics, the tendency towards mythocentrism and focus on the archaic consciousness of the Mordovian people are determined by the author’s specific worldview, which emphasizes the origins of national culture and the elements of the religious mythology of the Erzya and Moksha peoples. The actualization of the mythological context in the poet’s work contributes to the reflection of the national world model, the unique ethnic philosophy of life, and the comprehension of complex issues of ontological and philosophical content. The author’s reception of the mythopoetic scheme of existence is observed at the motivational, figurative, semantic, and stylistic levels of the lyrical text. National and cultural archetypes, the animalization and anthropomorphization of environmental phenomena, the idea of the unity of man and nature, cosmological motifs, the mythologization of the spatial-temporal chronotope (the topos of childhood), the author’s reflection on categories significant in the folk consciousness (memory, home, family), and the system of binary oppositions (nature/civilization) through the archaic principles of thinking all contribute to the reflection of the features of the archaic consciousness. It is noted that the poet generally retains the traditional perception and interpretation of religious and mythological images and national and cultural universals, while the archaic discourse is expanded by the implication of pressing issues of contemporary reality. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the fact that R. Orlova’s lyrics are the subject of a special study in the aspect of mythologism for the first time.
