ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the prose of contemporary Mordovian female authors. The subject of the study is the means, methods of modeling artistic reality, the principles of structuring the figurative system, plot-forming concepts in the works of Tamara Bargova, Valentina Mishanina, and Tatyana Razgulyaeva.
Objective: to reveal the specifics of the individual author’s picture of the world and man in the works of national writers.
Research materials: stories by T. Bargova, V. Mishanina, T. Razgulyaeva.
Results and novelty of the research: as a result of the study, we come to the conclusion that in the works of modern Mordovian women authors the original concept of the world and man is explicated. The texts are characterized by an original solution to the pressing problems of reality, thematic diversity, deep psychologization of character, special attention to gender relations, the reconstruction of women’s fate, the assertion of national ethical norms and universal moral principles. The stories of V. Mishanina, T. Bargova, and T. Razgulyaeva reflect the features of the milestone era – sociocultural
manifestations, material and spiritual preferences of society, the leveling of national foundations, the destruction of traditional ethnic consciousness, and the tragic worldview of a contemporary. In the process of modeling a picture of the world, the authors develop an individual aesthetic concept. They use an arsenal of certain techniques, means of revealing the character (memory, dream, vision, stream of consciousness, a critical situation or a situation of loneliness, circumstances, an author’s position, subtext, and letter). The authors turn to the possibilities of a symbolic imagery, this testifies to the high
aesthetic level of Mordovian women’s prose in general. The scientific novelty of the article is determined by the fact that the research material is analyzed for the first time in the aspect of the stated problem.
Key words: modern Mordovian literature, Mordovian women’s prose, author’s conception, T. Bargova, V. Mishanina, T. Razgulyaeva, theme, character.
