The article is devoted to the study of the Komi poem of the end of XX – beginning of the XXI centuries. The following features of the poems of this period are analyzed: genre, thematic, formal and stylistic features. Also the nature of the interaction of the poem with other literary, folk genres is revealed and artistic features of the genre of the «little poem» are explored. Objective: to identify the main laws and features of development of the genre of the poem at the present stage. Research materials. Poems by A. Vaneev, N. Schukin, V. Lodygin, V. Napalkov, A. Luzhikov, E. Afanasyeva, O. Bazhenova, V. Kushmanov of 1990–2018 published in periodicals and in collections of poets. Results and novelty of the research. The article is the first research of the Komi poem as one of the major genres of the newest Komi poetry. As a result of the research, it was identified, that the poem of this period has
changed a lot: only few poems have been written in these years. In the first place is a «little poem». Some poems in the newest Komi literature get close to a cycle of poems, to ceremonial lament, to an epistolary genre. New themes in the poems appeared. The most significant themes are the themes of history of the Komi region and Komi people, the Christianization of the Komi region in the XIV century, the repression of the 1930s, the ecology and ecology of the soul, the national character, the poet and his poetry.
