Anti-corruption: on the activities of the Duma of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra in 2014

Abstract. It is known that corruption is one of the most significant destructive factors of a systemic nature for any modern society. In turn, corruption seriously complicates economic and political development, providing priority to private interests in the management, submitting political will of the state to the narrow partisan interests of the officials and by all its practice undermining the confidence of ordinary citizens to the authorities. Corruption carries explicit social threat to society and destroys social bonds and relationships. The article summarizes the experience of the Duma of Ugra in the field of anti-corruption activities. In particular, it is analyzed the activities of the Commission on Countering Corruption in 2014 and summarizes the results of sociological research on this topic in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra.
