Cultural factors in alcohol-dependent behavior formation genesis

Abstract.The article presents an analysis of the domestic and foreign studies on the cultural factors infl uence on the prevalence of alcoholism. It is shown the negative dynamics of the increase in the prevalence of alcohol-dependent behavior among indigenous peoples living on the territory of the Russian Federation, due to the loss of traditional culture and language of their ethnic group. It is identifi es cultural factors that play a more important role in the genesis of alcohol-dependent behavior formation, among which factors are the loss of their native language, national customs, values, traditions and ethnic identity.
