Abstract.The article deals the history of Finnish grammatical theories and literary tendencies. It also analyzes the periods of formation of a scientifi c paradigm in Finland. The author explores some theoretical investigations, practical works, written by Finnish researchers in the late XVII century and throughout the XVIII century. The article represents some examples of epistolary Enlightenment. This article an interesting cultural material connected with the peculiarities of the Finnish language.
