ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the description of verbal ways of emotional displays in Kuzebay Gerd’s works, because the most effective way of study of a language personality of a writer is analysis of the emotional component of works. The analysis of frequency rating of the lexical units of his poetic texts is presented. Particular attention was paid to the description of potentially emotive vocabulary (affective words with emotive component) and connotative vocabulary (words with connotative status). But if emotional information in a poetic text requires a special system of linguistic means of expression, we present the analysis of different levels of expressive means – lexical, syntactic, phonetic, etc. The results of the research allow speaking about the emotional style of the writer and development of his creative method.
Objective: to correct representation about the poet’s creative method on the basis of analysis of markers of emotions and emotive meanings.
Research materials: poetic heritage of Kuzebay Gerd and the Frequency Dictionary of the lexemes of his poetic texts created by the author of the research (co-authored with the programmer Ya. R. Nasibullin).
Results and novelty of the research: the scientific novelty of the research is dictated by the unexplored emotional language personality of the poet, as well as the lack of linguistic and poetical research in the framework of Udmurt Philology. It was revealed that the uniqueness of Gerd’s emotions is found in the variety of language means, which include the appropriate vocabulary, individual author’s means of expression, various syntactic constructions, etc. But the main mean of representation of the individual author’s sense, dominant emotional meanings, is a poetic metaphor. At the same time, emotional information in Gerd’s poetic texts is expressed by a set of language means. The conducted research allows us to speak about the writer’s emotional style and the evolution of his creative method, in which the main one is a realistic conception.
Key words: emotional and expressive style, affectives, connotatives, potentially emotive vocabulary, metaphor, emotive meanings.
