Abstract. The article discusses the calendar traditions of the northern group of Mansi. The article focuses on the holiday-ritual practices, dated to such cosmic phenomenon as the solar rhythms, lunar cycles, seasons. The phenomenon of holydays and rites is considered through the prism of the reconstructing culture (culture as memory), the hierarchy of revered holidays. The author pays attention to the transformation of the tradition, its adaptation to the realities and missions of the modern times.
