Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of foreign-policy aims of the USA from the end of XIX century. Transformation of the USA into the world power has prepared the base for the appearance of new ideological concepts. During the XX century expansionism was chosen as a basis of the foreign policy of the American state. «American factor» became an integral part of the world politics. Under current conditions the American authorities make the adjustment in traditional policy, not refusing from its essence.
