ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the research of Khanty literature and fits into the complex of researches of modern Finno-Ugric literary studies. The subjects of the analysis are humor and satire in the works of Khanty authors as the forms of the comic.
Objective: to analyze the forms of the comic; to identify their genre presence in Khanty literature.
Research materials: three stories of G. D. Lazarev from the book «Stories and Fairy Tales of the Old Iki», as well as poems, fables, epigrams and ditties from the book “With the Hope of Happiness» by M. Novyukhov.
Results and novelty of the research: analysis of the corpus of literary texts of Khanty poets and prose writers showed that only two authors use the comic, and they use only two forms of the comic – humor and satire. The forms of the comic are reflected in the works of G. D. Lazarev and M. Novyukhov. And if G. D. Lazarev in his stories addressed to humour, M. Novyukhov in his poems, fables, epigrams and ditties used both humour and satire. M. Novyukhov’s satire aimed at denunciation of social vices, human failings. The poet boldly talks about the economic miscalculations, industrial failings of contemporary reality. The social orientation of M. Novyukhov’s satire makes his works modern and relevant.
Key words: Khanty literature, the comic, humor, satire, G. D., Lazarev, M. Novyukhov.
