ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article examines the semantics, structure and features of the functioning of conjunctionless complex sentences (CCS) with the same type (homogeneous) predicative parts based on the material of works of fiction by the Mordovian writers.
Objective: analysis and description of the structural and semantic characteristics of the CCS with the same type (homogeneous) predicative parts, determination of the specifics of their functioning in a literary text.
Research materials: the CCS with the same type of predicative parts, extracted from the literary texts of Mordvin writers in the Erzya language.
Results and novelty of the research: the scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time in Mordovian linguistics it presents a systemic, multi-aspect description of the functioning of the CCS with the same type of predicative parts based on the material
of a literary text. It has been established that syntactic constructions of this type have specific patterns of construction and semantic design, determined by the functional sphere. As a result of the conducted research, it was revealed that they are characterized by homogeneity,
relative semantic equality of the predicative parts included in them, express relations of simultaneity or sequence of actions, comparison or opposition, and structurally resemble compound sentences with connecting or adversative relations. In the text, they most often perform
characterizing, evaluative, and text-forming functions and are used to involve the reader in the artistic world of the narrative and achieve authenticity and realism of the events described.
Key words: conjunctionless complex sentence, identical predicative parts, functioning, syntactic relations of enumeration and comparison
