ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the problem of constructing and studying holo-meronymic structures, identifying their uniqueness in the vocabulary of the Northern dialect of the Mansi language within the framework of the extensive lexical-semantic field “human body” and it is the first stage of research, the object of which is a group of names of the parts of a human head except for the internal organs and bones.
Objective: to construct and analyze the holo-meronymic structure in the lexical-semantic group of names of the parts of the human head.
Research materials: somatic lexical units of the Northern dialect of the Mansi language.
Results and novelty of the research: for the first time in Mansi linguistics, with the involvement of wide lexicographic material, for today the most complete list of names of parts of a human head (53 lexemes) was identified and systematized, their semantics was determined; a holo-meronymic hierarchy was built on the material of the identified lexical units, its type (configuration) was determined. This hierarchy graphically represents a tree, the nodes of which are the names of the whole (head) and its parts that are in meronymic relations. The results of the analysis demonstrated the consistency of the Mansi somatic vocabulary and its strict ordering. The data obtained can be used in comparative lexicological studies, lexicographic work, as well as for the creation of electronic corpus of the Mansi language.
Key words: Mansi language, vocabulary of the Mansi language, lexical-semantic group, somatism, holonym, meronym, holo-meronymic structure
