Abstract.In the works of the Khanty writer D.E. Aipin the image of home/the earth is dominant. For the main hero a home is associated not only with housing, but it is, beloved by Mother, father, elder Ephraim, father Roman, Grandmother, genus of Beaver and the Khanty people, native land. The author emphasizes the special relation of people to land, this attitude is taught by parents from an early age children.
