ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article considers the means of the Khanty language, designed to fully and adequately describe a person who wants and is able to work for the common good.
Objective: to explore and describe the functional-semantic and pragmatic potential of words, phraseological turns and syntax constructs in statements and texts about a person engaged in socially useful work.
Research materials: the text of the literary author’s work – the story by G. D. Lazarev «Sorneng Tov».
Results and novelty of the research: the result of the study is a selection of Khanty language tools that meet the properties of clarity, accuracy and expressiveness, and therefore actively used in statements and texts about
the person of labor. The article reaffirms the concept of natural selection (by the speaker of the language) of the most suitable means if there is an understandable and firm goal, the idea of speech. It is shown that lexical units and syntax constructs, first of all “involved” in the full and bright expression of an idea, are seen as such in the composition of the sentence and text. It is also shown that the possibility of awareness of the idea of speech (or text) depends directly on the accuracy and expressiveness of the means used by the author. The scientific novelty consists in identifying the pragmatic elements of the text that play a decisive role in expressing conceptual meanings, as well as in establishing the regularity of the relationship between the purpose of the statement and the nature of the text.
