Interpretation of the folklore plot in the story by S. S. Dinislamova “Jakor”

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the analysis of the work “Jakor” by S. S. Dinislamova. The subject of consideration is the peculiarities of plot formation, the definition of similarities and differences of a folklore character with an artistic one.
Objective: to identify the specifics and features of the folklore plot and a character in the author’s interpretation.
Research materials: the story by S. S. Dinislamova “Jakor”, folklore collection “Tāgt Mākhum Mōjtyt-Pōtryt = Talesstories of the people of Sosva”.
Results and novelty of the research: as the result of the comparison of folklore and artistic characters, their similarities and differences are revealed, as well as the interpretation of the folklore plot “kidnapping of women from the human race by the Mēnkws” is considered. In the study of the folklore motif, the characteristic features of the story “Jakor” are revealed. For the first time in philological science, the creativity of the little-studied Mansi author Dinislamova Svetlana Siliverstovna is analyzed. Her story “Jakor” for the first time becomes an object of scientific understanding and is introduced into the context of Finno-Ugric literary studies. The theme of love in the writer’s work is focused on the relationship between the forest giant Mēnkw and a woman from the human race. The work is based on a love story.
