Intertextuality as a way of embodiment of the author’s worldview in the poetry of A. Podgornova

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article reveals the role of intertextuality in the embodiment of the poetic worldview of Alina Podgomova. The subject of the research is the methods of intertextuality in her poems.
Objective: to reveal the functions of intertextuality techniques in the lyrics of A. Podgornova; to determine the specifics of the author’s poetic self-expression.
Research materials: poems by A. Podgornova included in the collections “Except Rhymes”, “The Thought”.
Results and novelty of the research: as a result of the study, we come to the conclusion that an important feature of the postmodern poetry of A. Podgornova is intertextuality, which gives the work a semantic layering, forming a dialogic relationship between the author and her predecessors. The “communication” of the poetess with the classics, the reception of the world cultural space, historical and literary facts are conscious in nature. They are conditioned by the authoras desire to reveal the contradictory realities of modern reality through them, to comprehend the issues of existential content. The intertextual dialogue in her lyrics is saturated with irony and mockery characteristic of the aesthetics of postmodernism, aimed not so much at the desacralization of cultural codes as at the explication of the author’s reflection of the disharmonious world.
The intertextual field of A. Podgornova’s poems is created through a palette of various techniques - quotations in the form of epigraphs, reminiscences, allusions, references to cultural archetypes, socio-historical realities. Intertextuality in her lyrics is multifunctional, it becomes a conceptual, meaning-forming, structure-forming, subtextual, evaluative, symbolic category, a mechanism for expression of the author’s poetic consciousness and creative worldview. The intertext evokes cultural, figurative, motif, psychological associations of a reader. It involves him in a kind of intellectual game, the main purpose of which is the decoding of cultural and symbolic signs. Intertextuality testifies to the inclusion of the poetess’s work in the dialogue of cultures, communication of different eras, confirms the intellectual nature of her lyrics. The scientific novelty of the article is determined by the fact that it explores for the first time the intertextual field of A. Podgornova’s poetry.
