Abstract:The article is devoted to the Hungarian translations of Komi-Zyrian and Komi-Permyak literature and folklore. The first translations of Komi literature in Hungarian language began to appear in the III quarter of the XIX – early XX century, but targeted regular translation work was carried out since the 1960–970-ies. From that time a large number of anthologies containing Komi folklore, prose and poetry of the Komi writers have been published. Komi works are regularly published in various magazines and newspapers. In addition to works on the Komi language, Russian works of Komi writers, as well as poetry and prose of Russian authors from the Republic of Komi have been translated into Hungarian. Works of Komi literature and folklore (mostly folk tales) are published not only in Hungary, but also in the states with the Hungarian national minority (Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine). In the period of 1960–1980-ies scientific and popular scientific publications on Komi literature and folklore began to publish in Hungary. Nowadays almost all genres of Komi literature and folklore, all major authors and their best works have been translated into Hungarian language. Translations of poetry prevail over prose. At the present stage translators, who own the Komi language, translate directly from the original language.
