Abstract. To study the relationship between the man and the environment in connection with industrial development of the district authors consider the landscape as an element of traditional landuse of the Ob-Ugric peoples. A solution to the problems of traditional land-use in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra is associated with natural zoning. The authors summarize the scientific literature on landscape differentiation of the district with the account of the history of formation of the researched area. For the functioning of economic systems of traditional land-use is proposed to develop landscape-ecological maps for determining the resource assessment of the quality of land and natural environment that will promote the development of traditional land-use of the Ob-Ugric peoples.
