The life strategies of Erzyan rural women in the context of modern modernizational processes

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the relevance of research of the life strategies of rural women is due to the importance of the attitudes and abilities of this socio-demographic group to fulfill social functions which are the sources of
preserving of the identity of a family, traditions, and family culture. The author carried out this sociological survey which has a complex character and analyzed life strategies of women taking into account the internal, individual properties of the subject, as well as external factors of national and territorial parameters of the rural sociocultural community.
Objective: identification of the specific social, cultural and personal orientations of young Erzya rural women in the context of modern modernizational processes of a Mordovian village.
Research materials: young Erzyan rural women are the objects of the research. The subject is the influence of internal (age, family status) and external factors (conditions of national and territorial parameters of rural sociocultural community) on the life strategies of young Erzyan rural women who consulted in social services (on the example of the Republic of Mordovia). Methods of the research: 1) the questionnaire survey of 98 young women in rural settlements of the Republic of Mordovia; 2) the expert survey of 23 specialists implementing social consultancy in the State Public Institutions: «Social protection of the population in Atyashevsky District of the Republic of Mordovia», «Social protection of the population in Bolshebereznikovsky District of the Republic of Mordovia», «Social protection of the population in Ruzayevsky District of the Republic of Mordovia»; 3) secondary analysis of sociological research.
Results and novelty of the research: 1) the influence of the family status as a value-motivational dominant on the choice of the purposes and meanings of the life of a rural young Erzyan woman was revealed; 2) the dependence of the life strategies of young Erzyan rural women on the modern modernizational processes of a Mordovian village was revealed; 3) the typology of the life strategies transmitted by young Erzyan rural women with different family status, who consulted in social services, was presented; 4) the features, importance, causes and results of social consultancy for rural Erzyan young women were distinguished.
