The main periods of V.T. Chistalev’s life and creative work

Abstract:This article is a historical and literary summary work studying basic and the most important life and writing periods of the Komi author, who is one of the 20th century Komi literature founders, V.T. Chistalev (Tima Wen) (1890-1939). The subject of study is the writer’s artistic creativity due to the key events of his biography. The article provides the poet’s detailed life description, a brief summary and description of his creative activity main directions in 1920-1930-th: poetry, fiction and diary prose, dramatic experiments, literary views. The major objectives of study coninsist in generalization of literary knowledge about the Komi writer’s creative life, in revealing his works artistic integrity, identifying and clarifying fundamentally important poetic features and creative individuality. This study is extremely important for modern literary criticism: V. Chistalev’s writings, his experiments and discoveries, development of new for komi literature art forms – white and free verse, rhythmical prose – continue to have a significant impact on Komi authors writings and Komi literature development in general. The first study of works by V.T. Chistalev is based on the original author’s text version placed in manuscripts and manuscript collections “Heart” (1921), «The pain of the heart» (1923), as well as works published during the writer’s life in periodicals. The scientific revolution introduced a new material: diaries by V. Chistalev, created by him in 1939.
