ABSTRACT
Introduction: the work is devoted to the designations of landscape objects of anthropogenic origin located in rural areas. The urban landscape nomination system is not considered. The article is a linguistic analysis of the subject of the study.
Objective: to establish the systemic features inherent in the studied branch of the landscape vocabulary of the Komi language, the stages of its formation and development from ancient times to the present day.
Research materials: vocabulary of the literary Komi language related to the landscape vocabulary. Comparative examples were talen from other the Permian and Finno-Ugric languages.
Results and novelty of the research: for the first time in Komi linguistics, a linguistic analysis of the designations of landscape objects of anthropogenic origin, which are an integral part of the landscape vocabulary of any natural language, including the Komi-Zyryan, was carried out. In the course of the research, the structural organization of this lexical-thematic group and its features that distinguish it from other categories of the main vocabulary are determined. The main distinguishing feature of the objects of the nomination of this microsystem is that their appearance and existence are not connected with the spontaneous forces of nature, but are caused by purposeful human activity. The study showed that the microsystem of landscape vocabulary of anthropogenic origin has ancient origins and its basis is the names of the native origin. The earliest native words date back to the Proto-Finno-Ugric era. Further replenishment of this group of designations occurred at the subsequent stages of the evolution of the Komi language – in the Proto-Finno-Permian, Proto-Permian and Proto-Komi periods. The latest and most numerous layer consists of lexical units that arose during the period of independent existence of the Komi-Zyryan language, after its separation from the Komi-Permian one. The formation and development of landscape vocabulary of anthropogenic origin occurred not only at the expense of internal resources, but also as a result of the use of external sources. The foreign-language component consists of four groups of borrowings: Old Bulgarian (1 word), Baltic- Finnish (1 example), Russian (39 names).
Key words: Komi language, vocabulary, landscape objects of anthropogenic origin, native fund, borrowings
Acknowledgements: the publication was prepared within the framework of the planned research theme “Permian languages in the linguocultural space of the European North and the Urals” (№ 121042600252-7).
