Postpositions in the language of the Kirov Permyaks

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the paper deals with the description of the postposition system of one of the little-studied idioms of the Komi-Permian language – the language of the Kirov Permyaks, the system of which was formed under the influence of intra-linguistic patterns and the Russian language in isolation from the main ethnic group. The subjects of the study are the postpositions characteristic for the idiom under study. The main attention is paid to the identification of their formal and semantic features.
Objective: identification of postpositions common to the Kirov Permyaks language; consideration of their morphological and semantic peculiarities.
Research materials: the empirical base of the research consists of the language materials of the author’s dialectological expeditions to the area of residence of the Kirov Permyaks in the period from 2002 to 2012. The linguistic material is analyzed and interpreted in the context of the Komi language dialect landscape.
Results and novelty of the research: the first systematic description of postpositions of the Upper-Kama dialect of the Komi-Permyak language is made: serial and isolated postpositions are identified; an attempt to identify the number of serial postpositions is made; the semantic levels of the studied function words are distinguished. New dialect data are introduced into scientific circulation, which can become an additional source for comparative historical research of the postposition system of the Permian languages, as well as for the study of interlanguage interaction.
