The quality of teaching the Khanty and Mansi languages in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra as the factor of their keeping and development

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of factors that contribute to the preservation and development of the Khanty and Mansi languages and hinder it. The subject of the research is one of the most important factors – the quality of teaching the Khanty and Mansi languages at schools.
Objective: to determine the state and problems of ensuring the quality of teaching the Khanty and Mansi languages in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra and to propose measures to improve it.
Research materials: publications in scientific journals on the research problem, statistical reports, questionnaires.
Results and novelty of the research: based on the analysis of publications in scientific journals on the problem of research, the factors that promote and hinder the keeping of the Khanty and Mansi languages are identified and systematized on various grounds; the most important of them is the quality of teaching the Khanty and Mansi languages at schools. The authors have developed questionnaires and conducted an empirical study of the quality of teaching the languages in Khanty- Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. The novelty of the research lies in determining and substantiating the current level of quality of teaching the Khanty and Mansi languages in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, current problems (personnel, organizational, managerial, information and methodological), as well as measures to solve them.
