Religion in the daily life of urban population of the central Kazakhstan during the post-war period

Abstract. For the last ten years the daily life history has become one of the perspective directions in modern historical science. At present time, when the ideological restrictions are lifted, the coordinating changes in social, economic and political structure of society occurred. In this connection our challenge is to introduce new archival materials to the scientifi c circulation. The subject of the research is the religious holidays in daily life of urban population of Central Kazakhstan in post-war period. The author of the article characterizes the historiographical review, and also analyzes informal celebration of such religious holidays as Oraza Bayram, Kurban Bayram, Easter, Christmas and Epiphany.
