Representation of women images in A. I. Pudin’s dramaturgy (on the example of the play “People in the Empty House”)

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the women images in the dramaturgy of A. I. Pudin. Based on the play “People in the Empty House”, the specifics of the individual author’s representation of the women images are revealed, which makes it possible to trace the emergence of a new type of a heroine and the ways of her self-realization in the conditions of modern reality, as well as to identify the main techniques of artistic embodiment of images in a dramatic work.
Objective: to describe the women images in the dramaturgy of A. I. Pudin and reveal the methods of their individual author’s representation.
Research materials: A. I. Pudin’s drama “People in the Empty House”.
Results and novelty of the research: the scientific novelty of the work is that it represents the first experience of a comprehensive study of the women images in the drama by A. I. Pudin “People in the Empty House”. The authors come to the conclusion about the innovation of A. I. Pudin in the depiction of the psychology and interpersonal relationships of women against the background of the transformation of social values. The playwright introduces into Mordovian drama a new type of heroine. He describes different women images – from a passive victim of circumstances to an active personality, able to stand up for herself. Special attention in the article is paid to the analysis of the main techniques of artistic embodiment of the women images in a dramatic work, creating depth and versatility of characters in the context of social and moral problems.
