Abstract.History of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug is an integral part of the Russian nge of researchers. One of the most striking and topical issues is study of the life history and work of the special settlers in the district. In this paper, we consider the opening phase of forced relocation and resettlement of the special settlers in Ostyako-Vogulsk national district.
