Abstract. Based on the definitions «derivative verb», «derivational stem» given in the article, there are considered such morphonological types of derivative verb stems, as simple, derived, free, non-free, full, apocopic, expanded, root decomposable. All of them are characterized by relevant examples. In addition, the attention is focused on the formation of verbs using the cumulative paradigm, that is by means of gradual increasing of suffixes and fan-shape, in which every node departs from the stem. It is also discusses the collocation of suffixes with derivative stems.
