Abstract.The present paper is about a problem use of fi lm and photo opportunities in the fi eld of modern anthropological researches. In the article presents a review of history and development of visual anthropology in Russia and abroad. The main aim of studied material is dialogue of cultures. In the article denoted a relevance of anthropological fi lms in the process of intercultural communication. The questions of terminology and methods of application of new methods of visualization of reality consider in modern education. The question about of ethical responsibility of the authors of anthropological fi lms is disclosed.
