Abstract. The article points to the growing needs of the modern family in the psychological help in the upbringing of children of senior preschool age, an organization which requires a deep and comprehensive understanding. Analyses the theoretical approaches to the provision of psychological milies, the brief characteristic of the basic directions: psychological diagnostics, psychological consulting, psychological correction. Emphasis is on an integrated approach to the provision of psychological support to the family and the key role of the psychologist.
