Abstract. The research deals with the potentialities of professional network communities as an environment for continuous teacher training by the example of «Network of creative teachers». Theauthor made an attempt to determine the factors which distinguish effective and not effective forms of non-formal education. The study confirmed, that only a well-organized community, whose members are highly motivated to participate in it, along with a number of other factors may be an alternative to an inefficient system of teacher training.
