ABSTRACT
Introduction: the presented article is a comprehensive study of impersonal constructions in the Livvik, Karelian proper and Ludic dialects of the newly written Karelian language. The analysis revealed the presence of three main types of one-part constructions, which do not always have clear boundaries and are sometimes combined into a broader category of sentences without an obvious subject.
Objective: to examine the structure and functioning of Impulsive constructions in the new written norm of the Karelian language.

Research materials: textbooks, teaching aids and dictionaries of the Karelian language.
Results and novelty of the research: the scientific novelty of this study is seen in the first realized complex analysis of impersonal monosyllabic constructions on the material of Karelian proper, Livvik and Ludic dialects of the new written norm of the Karelian language.
The article offers a functional-semantic and structural classification of Karelian impersonal sentences. In this syntactic group, on the basis of the formal-grammatical criterion, sentences with predicates expressed by impersonal verbs proper and copular-modal verbs in the form of the 3rd person singular in combination with the infinitive, as well as complexes of an auxiliary existential linking verb + an adjective naming the state of the subject are distinguished. From the point of view of semantics, the class of impersonal sentences is represented by statements about the state of the environment, a spontaneously occurring physical or mental process, as well as qualitative-evaluative judgments. The theoretical significance of the conducted research is seen in the comprehensive study of one of the most important syntactic categories in the Karelian language (single-member sentences) based on the data of newly written dictionary sources, as well as in the formulation of the problem of the role and grammatical essence of impersonal sentences in relation to the syntactic structure of related Finno-Ugric languages and in the aspect of contacts with unrelated Slavic (primarily Russian) languages. The practical significance is indicated by the possibility of using the collected linguistic material, the results of its structural and functional-semantic analysis in the development of theoretical and practical disciplines on the morphology and syntax of the Karelian language, linguistic analysis of the text, as well as auxiliary courses on speech development.
Key words: Karelian language, syntax, impersonal constructions, simple sentence, new written norm
