Abstract. The article analyzes the results of study of the socio-psychological adaptation, stress tolerance, ethnic identity and affiliation of two groups of migrants from neighboring countries, residing in the Republic of Mari El less than three years and more than five years. The correlation analysis between the scales of the used re-search methods was performed in order to test the hypothesis about the
existence of relationships between characteristics of ethnic identity and indicators of socio-psychological adaptation of migrants.
