ABSTRACT
Introduction: the paper is devoted to the vocabulary of hunting in the Komi language. The subject of the study is the designations related to the subject of hunting, which form a separate microsystem and differ from other components of the hunting vocabulary by their structural organization, their own composition of the objects of nomination and the set of nominative means intended for their nomination, as well as by their origin. The analysis of the factual material, which mainly belongs to the Komi literary language, is carried out using both diachronic and synchronic methods of linguistic research. The original part of this lexical-thematic group of the Komi language has two components of the ancient vocabulary: the proto-Finno-Permian and the proto-Komi. The names of the proto-Uralic, proto-Finno-Ugric and proto-Permian origin are absent here. The foreignlanguage group of names consists of a few late borrowings that have penetrated from one external source.
Objective: to establish the system features inherent in the studied microsystem of hunting vocabulary, and the stages of its formation and development from ancient times to the present day.
Research materials: the vocabulary of the Komi language, contained in lexicographic publications.
Results and novelty of the research: for the first time in Komi linguistics, the concept of linguistic research of hunting vocabulary was created. Its structural organization and features that distinguish it from other categories of the main vocabulary are determined. Criteria and principles of classification of designations intended for the nomination of the subject of hunting are developed. The ratio of the original part of the microsystem under consideration and borrowings is established. As a result, it was revealed that most of the names of hunting vocabulary in the Komi language belong to the original vocabulary fund. The ancient fund is represented by the names of the proto-Komi and proto-Finno-Permian origin. The designations of the Komi-Zyryan origin are characterized by the use of both morphological and syntactic methods of word formation.
Key words: Komi language, vocabulary, designations of the subject of hunting, original vocabulary fund, borrowings.
