Diffusion processes and their realization in the culture of local space

Abstract. The article analyzes the possibility of usage the diffusion, image-logical and postmodern theories in the analysis of local space. The individual components of traditional culture are transferred by migrants from the patriarchal environment to the unusual for them provincial level. Here, new social norms are compulsory imposed on individual. It causes the mental discomfort and regeneration of the old values among the population. Transformation of human activity leads to the fact that the old meanings are constantly changing, so the considerable part of them is hardly verifiable. This situation is quite applicable to the historical evolution of the Russian provinces too.
