Dramaturgic creativity of Gennady Yushkov at the turn of the XX–XXI centuries

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is devoted to the research of the famous Komi writer, poet and playwright Gennady Yushkov’s plays dated by 1990–2000. He starts his creative way in the 1950th, disclosing the art skill in various genres including dramaturgic. From this time until the beginning of 1980th, G. Yushkov works
generally in genres of the socio-moral drama and social and everyday life comedy, realistically recreating public contradictions, acute social problems of the 50–80th. The main theme of the playwright is the village theme, the theme of improvement of life of peasants. The main characters of these plays are people with active
life position, the creators changing the world around. Intensive socio-political changes of the turn of XX–XXI centuries introduce the correctives in development of literary process, affecting the creative consciousness of writers. It would be interesting to see how public cataclysms of the 1990–2000th influenced on the artisticworld of G. Yushkov, to reveal change of the principles of typification and generalization in its creative system.
Objective: to research Gennady Yushkov’s plays of the turn of XX–XXI centuries, to identify their distinctive features in comparison with the dramaturgic works written by him earlier.
Research materials: the plays by G. Yushkov of the 1990–2000th.
Results and novelty of the research: the analysis of dramaturgic works of G. Yushkov of the specified period reveals narrowing of the purposes of the hero of his plays. This is not any more the hero who is actively solving public problems, but the character, guided only by personal desires. Along with we observe narrowing
of genre frameworks of plays of the author. Now they are not multi-act dramas or comedies, they are and texts in two-three pages (sketches). The theme of the works also changes: he is still the playwright of the village theme, but he reveals this theme through a prism of the family theme. In the period of the turn of XX–XXI
centuries we can observe that G. Yushkov creates his plays in realistic direction and also follows laws of creation of dramaturgic characters.
